Intern - DPS Software Engineering
MasterCard is a technology company in the global payments business, connecting customers, financial institutions, merchants, governments and businesses worldwide and enabling them to use secure and convenient electronic forms of payment.
Our DPS Software Engineering team is looking for an intern to join our European team in our Waterloo, Belgium office for a duration of 6 months.
The DPS Software Engineering team is mainly composed of developers, as well as business analysts and unit testers.
The team develops and maintains cryptographic applications used across the globe by Mastercard. These applications provide key management, certificate management and cryptographic functionalities.
The intern will be responsible for developing, testing, implementing, documenting, and supporting systems application software in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.
Development efforts include web service APIs and front-end User Interface.
The intern will be responsible for developing high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on requirement and design specifications, within expected time and budget. The DPS Software Engineering team follows standards in development and testing to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
We are looking for a student in Information Systems, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills;
- An interest in the dynamic field of information security.
- Fluency in English both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of Web Service/API experience (REST), Angular 2, graphical design, Node.js, C, Python and a familiarity with information security related concepts such as Cryptography, X509, Certificate Management Protocol 9CMP and public key cryptography standards are a strong asset.
This position will be based in our Waterloo, Belgium office.
