Account Manager, Retail Development (Loyalty)

Overview

MasterCard Loyalty Solutions provide a range of products and service for our partners to create compelling card propositions that drive the acquisition of new cardholders and then ensure a positive and long-term relationship with them

Our propositions focus on Rewards and Offer solutions which provide great value to consumers, incremental revenue for partners and long lasting relationships for issuers.

The Sales Manager plays a vital role within the sales team, targeting retailers within the higher consumer spend bracket. Through consultative prospecting, presenting and closing, the role holder will help grow the retailer network.

The role holder will be an experienced sales person with a proven track record of closing deals with senior stakeholders, preferably within the retail sector.

The candidate will own the sales cycle from prospecting to acquisition, and facilitate a handover to Account Management once each new contract is signed or week keep ongoing relationship with key clients

Role

As a member of the Sales team, the role holder will play a key part in growing the retailer base:

Develop sales pipeline and be the first point of contact for retail clients, providing day to day communications and maintaining and developing relationships

Initiate contact with prospects, make technical presentations about products and services and move prospects along the sales funnel

Accomplish sales objectives by planning, developing and implementing a consultative sales approach. Sell a solution, not a product

Report progress in the sales funnel, maintain accurate records of sales activities, contribute to production of KPIs

Collect, analyse and summarise data and trends, input on pricing and strategy

Identify marketing and product opportunities by identifying retailer requirements

All About You

A degree in business management or relevant field and strong experience

Strong experience in cooperation with retail partners

Solid experience in soft/consultative sales roles

Good fit to dynamic teams, comfortable with fast and fluid environments, good team player

Good understanding of the advertising, loyalty, performance marketing and online media space

Knowledge of payment industry a plus

Ambitious, driven, can-do attitude, self-starter, high achiever

Excellent written and spoken English, excellent presentation skills

Proficient with numbers, commercial models, metrics

Extreme energy and passion

Sociable, trustworthy
