Overview

Mastercard Loyalty Solutions is a leading provider of loyalty and rewards services to financial institutions across the Asia Pacific region. Headquartered in Singapore, we are Asia Pacific’s leading rewards program manager, with a growing footprint across the region into key markets such as China, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan and Japan. Our customer base includes financial institutions and merchants.

o The Merchant Loyalty (ML) team provides relationship management and business development functions for all key merchant accounts across Loyalty Solutions (LS).

o The ML team is the face of all LS products and services. As such they are responsible for taking existing products to the market as solutions, as well as providing product teams with feedback from the market in terms of sizing the market opportunity and how products are perceived by existing or potential customers.

o Relationship Management and support for a range of key merchant accounts where the customer is rapidly expanding, identifying new business opportunities and managing growth of profitable revenue streams through the implementation of newly developed strategic and tactical plans.

o The role combines new business development with multi-program management and the role holder will have a wide remit in terms of both opportunity identification and execution. The role holder will need to have personal ambition and drive and be able to work independently from close supervision to skillfully manage all components of the business.

o Merchant in our world is defined broadly ranging from high street retailers to grocery, e-tailers, airlines, hotels, and duty free shops.

o Can you demonstrate strategic thinking and how that applies to business development activities?

o Have you worked with or in the loyalty or business development departments of major merchants, acquirers or merchant aggregators or in a variety of merchant categories?

Role

o This individual will be responsible for the procurement, implementation, coordination and management of a structured Customer Relationship Management process through which LS differentiates itself as a value driver with major merchants and suppliers in Hong Kong. This will include strategic sales management, project planning and analysing business opportunities as well as superior customer relationship skills.

o Identify and promote strategic development opportunities that will drive LS incremental revenue growth in line with the LS sales pipeline and growth plans for this area of the business.

o Focus on identifying Merchant loyalty and customer engagement needs, with the intention to deliver Loyalty Rewards programs/strategies for such HK Merchants.

o Implement customer solutions that improve revenue generation and enhance mutual profitability.

o Identify opportunities and assist in design and setting of marketing strategies in line with the Merchant’s overall growth strategies. Oversee and lead all phases of offer management for the implementation process from concept through rollout.

o Coordinate offer development as well as management with the major Merchants as well as internal LS contacts,

o Proactively identify account challenges where an existing LS relationship exists with a Merchant and identify/propose/develop LS programs that enhance mutual profitability for the merchant and LS.

o Communicate, consult, and present to the accounts senior & middle level managers on all phases of these initiatives.

o Assist in Contract negotiations and ensure delivery of all aspects of program initiatives including service levels, management reporting, marketing programs, strategic planning days, IT& Product Roadmaps

o Assist with deal reviews in conjunction with AM lead, legal, finance, product teams, and IMK regional for new opportunities outlining the opportunity, pricing strategy, key performance indicators, revenue, cost, profit margin and any associated risks.

o Creation of budgets (by a product/solution) and forecasts.

All About You

• Experience in business development, account management, marketing, business development in loyalty or retail industries preferred.

• Excellent knowledge of loyalty disciplines and solutions.

• Knowledge of merchant propositions with strong consumer value proposition

• Well-developed financial analysis and business modeling skills

• Ability to think strategically and long term.

• Ability to identify areas of new business and deliver to client’s need whilst ensuring internal objectives are also met – solutions focused.

• Experience in relationship building.
