Overview

The Blockchain and Digital Assets group is leading Mastercard’s cutting edge strategy to bring forward the future of payments technology and make it a reality. The team has a program of research and product development which will keep Mastercard at the heart of payments, supporting our multi-rail strategy with the best of what blockchain has to offer.

We are looking for a Manager who will play a key role in the commercialization of Blockchain & Digital Assets portfolio offerings in the APAC region, including but not limited to: crypto cards, crypto acceptance and approval rates, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), and blockchain-based payment rails. The candidate will carry the regional Blockchain & Digital Assets commercialization KPIs, and work with cross-functional teams to track and drive a pipeline of commercialization opportunities. The candidate will also leverage their knowledge and expertise in Blockchain & Digital Assets to educate regional teams, and to provide specialist support in customer conversations and engagements.

Role

• Carry the key regional performance KPIs related to Blockchain & Digital Assets commercialization

• Build, track, and report against a pipeline of commercialization opportunities, including but not limited to: crypto cards, crypto acceptance and approval rates, CBDCs, and blockchain-based payment rails

• Work with global and regional teams to drive commercialization opportunities to closure

• Provide subject matter expertise and specialist support to regional teams in partner and customer conversations and engagements

• Stay informed of the overall market landscape, including new developments, competitors and potential partners via ongoing research, and keep key global and regional stakeholders informed of significant updates

• Assist the regional Blockchain & Digital Assets lead in the development and communication of the regional Blockchain & Digital Assets strategy

All About You

• Strong interest in CBDCs, blockchain and cryto-currency ecosystems

• Experience in the payments industry and ability to adapt new technologies to existing use cases; prior knowledge of payment networks and processing is a plus

• Knowledge of the clearing and settlement process and systems is a plus

• Good commercial insight, with experience of building a value proposition for all participants in a payment’s ecosystem, including Mastercard, our customers and partners

• Experience in product development and product management, including concept definition / validation, and business requirements definition

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders

• Entrepreneurial attitude, self-starter, ability to work independently

• Strong analytical skills, problem solver with the ability to take thoughtful risks
