Finance Manager (Financial Accounting)

Job Description Summary

This position is for Singapore controllership based in Singapore specifically focused on managing the financial accounting key responsibilities and ensuring compliance with finance related regulatory requirements.

The position requires a qualified individual who is knowledgeable in IFRS, hands-on, detailed and highly motivated with the ability to integrate accounting principles with organizational practices and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Month end close

• Responsible for monthly financial close and reporting. Requires close working relationship internal finance shared service center (“GBSC”).

• Responsible for reviewing profit & loss and balance sheet statements.

• Perform reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and work with closely with GBSC to identify and resolve issues/aged balances.

• Co-ordination with Global Finance on reporting package/analysis.

Statutory Audits and Internal Audits

• Lead and manage statutory audits for the largest revenue generating entity in the region. Partner with service provider to deliver good quality financial statements to external auditors.

• Manage fee negotiations and Global Finance fee approval.

• Work with various stakeholders to support Singapore related internal audits.

Compliance with other regulations

• Co-ordinate with service provider and regional tax teams on various indirect tax filings & corporate tax

• Review various indirect tax filings

• Support tax team on tax audits and annual tax computations

• Co-ordinate with regulatory team on other data reporting for various jurisdictions

Others

• Ad-hoc projects such as dividend/capital repatriation, rationalization of legal entity.

• Support the operationalization of any new business models.

Required Experience, Knowledge and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent and at least 7 years relevant work experience. CPA/ CA preferred.

• Must have good knowledge of IFRS. Knowledge of US GAPP is preferred.

• Prior experiences in external audit, with a Big Four firm

• Requires intermediate to advance skills in MS Excel. MS Access skills preferred. Excellent overall spreadsheet skills and comfortable working with various financial applications.

• Experience in Oracle financial systems & ADI and Hyperion preferred.

• Independent worker & thinker with the ability to follow up on time sensitive issues

• Proven communication skills with all levels of staff and management across different geographies and cultures.

• High degree of accuracy and ability to manage sensitive information.

• Able to participate in conference calls after office hours with global finance team members
