Director Communications, SEA

Overview

The Integrated Marketing and Communications team is looking for a Communications Director – Southeast Asia, to drive our comms strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about communications/PR, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

Role

The Communications Director - SEA will develop and create the corporate/product, communications programs for SEA. Specifically, the role holder will be required to provide strategic communications support for SEA collaborating with stakeholders in the countries and across the Asia/Pacific region as well as counter parts who are at market level through constant dialogue and close collaboration in order to support Mastercard’s business objectives and targets for SEA. In this regard, he/she must be able to develop broad frameworks with key objectives outlined and disseminated as well as coordinate and review specific market requirements and needs in order to develop a consistent communications plan for SEA. This will also include looking at how public policy impacts communications and leveraging communications to support business development. Central to this role is execution and implementation including measurement of success (and communicating these internally) based on key metrics established for the Communications function globally and locally. The role will have a reporting line to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications SEA.

All About You

• Expertise in having led the communications function at large MNC organizations or leading Comms/PR agencies

• Have a strategic view on the role of comms in driving thought leadership and creating differentiation in a crowded marketplace

• Experience of working in a dynamic multi-product/multi business environment is desirable

• In depth experience of working with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders is a must

• Analytical, problem solver, multi tasker and a confident orator and writer
