Director, Business Development for MPGS

Overview

South East Asia is one of the fastest growing divisions for Mastercard, with markets at different stages of development and maturity for digital payments.

The individual will be responsible for driving new sales for Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS) and its existing business growth for 4 key markets in collaboration with our country, product and functional support teams through existing customers and new business partners.

The 4 key markets are: Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

The position reports to the Director of Business Development for Processing Service Sales in South East Asia.

Role

This position is responsible for:

Grow sales of MPGS online payment, fraud management solutions and ancillary products with acquirers/resellers and merchants.

Leads generation, opportunities development and convert them into sales and deals.

Managing, protecting and growing existing MPGS revenue streams.

Work closely with customers, our in-country account managers, other Mastercard internal support teams to drive accelerated sales growth.

Conduct quarterly/half yearly MPGS business performance reviews with each country teams to ensure alignment and key sale focus.

Work closely with our Asia Pacific Market Development colleagues to better facilitate cross & intra market sales development.

Work with Mastercard product stakeholders to continue improve MPGS functionality in order to take on market needs and competitions.

Laser sharp focus to drive business growth & sales effort towards an annual revenue of $100mil for South East Asia MPGS over next 5 years starting from Year 2019.

All about You

Strong industry experience in online acquiring sales with strong merchants and financial institution working relationships

Strong command of ecommerce service suites with the ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell and maximize revenue in each client portfolio. Deep knowledge of MPGS product functionalities would be a key advantage

Currently is managing a successful large regional business portfolio with P&L responsibility

Resourceful to deal with both business opportunities and challenges with strong entrepreneurial spirit

Highly experienced in negotiation and managing expectation with ability to influence outcomes through positive and engaging communication

Customer focus and passionate for service excellent

Possess a disciplined approach to sales pipeline development
