Director, Business Development

The Director, Business Development, Issuer Partner Management is a highly specialized position responsible for development and growth strategies for several issuer partners. This role will be responsible for growing and protecting revenue and relationships by leveraging the breadth of C&I solutions inclusive of MC acquisitions like Ethoca, Ekata, etc. The customer segment responsibility includes Issuer Partners, including resellers and technology platforms). Overview

The C&I Product Optimization team is looking for a Director, Issuer Partnership Management to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

Role

In this client-facing position, you will:

• Partner with internal product teams and external channel partners to identify business opportunities, solve problems, and deliver solutions at scale.

• Identify opportunities to grow and protect revenue within your customer portfolio.

• Ensure partner targets and performance metrics align with group and company objectives and that the proper tools are in place to help achieve those targets.

• Be an important contributor to Product Optimization’s go-to-market strategy.

• Take responsibility for driving adoption of, and generating revenue from, Mastercard C&I products globally.

The ideal candidate for this position should:

• Look at everything through the eyes of the customer and see their need for an easy and profitable life

• Have a clear mission that focuses on the attention of the customer’s need above your own

• Go out of your way to get close to the customer in order to find out what their needs are and how a product or service can help

• Look for complementary products or services that can also help the customer

• Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders. Some public speaking required.

• Experience managing complex partnerships with demonstrable success delivering on growth/acceleration targets. Global experience is preferred.

• Ideal candidate has highly developed account management skills and personal experience managing top tier banks and managing RFPs, ROIs, and opportunity pipelines.

• Be an action oriented, strategic thinker with ability to level communication style to fit audience (Employees, Director, VP, SVP)

• Previous experience in payments industry preferred.

• Ability to travel unrestricted, approximately 25%.
