The Mastercard Launch program is aimed at early career talent, to help you develop skills and gain cross-functional work experience. Over a period of 18 months, Launch participants will be assigned to a business unit, learn and develop skills, and gain valuable on the job experience.
The Business Development & digital Partnerships team is responsible for leading new Mastercard Australia partnerships with customers across all key business verticals, from newly established digital banks, technology partners within the payments ecosystem as well as emerging payment forms including BuyNowPay Later and crypto currencies. In addition this team is responsible for partnership with key global digital partners with presence in Australia including partnerships within the rideshare, subscription and streaming services and technology spaces. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset to problem solve.
In this role you will be:
• Supporting the team to deliver against business targets for Mastercard from new business and existing customers
• Participate in business conversations with key decision makers internally and externally
• Act as a project manager on small to mid-sized projects
• Use analytical and problem solving skills to provide analyses and solutions that satisfy business needs and inform strategy development
• Leverages data tools to develop revenue and expense benchmarks and performance trends
• Participates in project and team meetings, business forecasting and planning activities
• Assists with creating sales presentations, proposals and internal business case development
• Works collaboratively across various internal teams to support a variety of business initiatives
• Assists with the development and reporting of regular senior management business updates
• Supports team administrative and reporting needs
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
Students pursuing a Masters/bachelor’s degree in your final year or graduated in the past year in verticals such as financial services, consumer products, consulting, marketing, technology, or communications
Continually look at the market and competition to see what is happening with the ability to speak to current market trends and innovation
Be a self-starter with drive and passion to learn and experience dynamic tasks and projects
Be organized and able to priorities multiple workstreams or projects
Be a confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate your message and narrative clearly
Be familiar and comfortable with foundational financial methodologies and business metric tools/approaches
Always looking for potential solutions to solve problems
