Overview

The Data Access Partnerships team is looking for a Director, Industry Standards to

drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and

problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience

journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an

entrepreneurial mindset.

Role

● Partner with Industry groups to identify business opportunities, solve

problems, and deliver solutions.

● Identify opportunities to align Mastercard with industry standards as well as

influence industry groups with Mastercard business practices.

● Partner with multiple internal groups to understand where industry standards

can help achieve business goals.

● Perform analysis and prepare updates for internal and external stakeholders.

All About You

● Advanced communication skills with the ability to communicate both

interactively and with prepared materials to various internal and external

audiences, including senior executive updates.

● Understanding of data handling, protection, and governance practices.

● Understanding of data formatting and data base storage practices

● Understanding of technology product management practices

● Experience working with product and data-base management teams in a

technology company

● Experience working on and managing multiple projects across multiple teams

The ideal candidate for this position should:

● Assess the goals and motivations of a variety of organizations that could will

have both competitive and cooperative relationships

● Articulate viewpoints within industry group settings

● Synthesize the work of multiple individuals and groups into easily understood

updates and work plans

● Prepare executive updates that are timely and insightful

● Look for opportunities to advance business goals within a standards

organization

● Maintain and update data dictionary’s that map to company data storage

principles, protocols and practices

● Be skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly

● Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate

your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders

● Always look for potential solutions to solve problems
