Vice President – Technology Risk Management (Localization Lead)

OVERVIEW

The Technology Risk Management (TRM) organization is a business enabler and industry leader of technology and security risk management practices, supported by a multi-disciplinary team of top security, technology, and risk professionals. Our mission is to exceed stakeholder expectations by providing enhanced visibility and proactive management of technology risks and ensuring strong security and sound operational environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and implements a localization technology and security risk assessment playbook and procedures (interaction/engagement model) to minimize exposure and drive the proper controls

• Partners with business to perform due diligence assessments of technology and security risks prior to on-soil deployment of Mastercard products and services

• Advises partners on localization initiatives and coordinates TRM support

• Manage TRM engagement on localization/on-soil initiatives by providing technical SME review of business process and risk assessments for accuracy

• Supports evaluation of new regulations/requirements and provides technical advice regarding MA compliance

• Supports business/SMEs and TRM team in coordinating regulatory exams and systemic importance reviews

• Supports leadership, leveraging a solid understanding of industry audit and compliance standards and internal control concepts and principles, risks and regulations

JOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCES

• Knowledge of Mastercard products and technology, security and other risk management programs and practices desired, not required

• Strong IT technical knowledge, including emerging technologies and potential for exploitation

• Degree in technology, information systems management, information security management, security policy or related program desired, but not required

• IT certification(s) a plus

• Knowledge of risk and control framework, such as SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI-DDS, ISO, NIST

• Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and IT management (e.g., GDPR, FBA, CBA, PFMI, etc.)

• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects

• Collaboration cross-functionally to identify and implement best practice risk processes

• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
