Vice President, Chief of Staff, Products & Innovation

Overview

Products & Innovation (P&I) is responsible for developing and managing the key differentiating products and solutions that Mastercard delivers to its customers. The mission of the P&I Administration team is to add value by driving CPO initiatives and projects, and gives operational cadence throughout the CPO office and its internal and external partners. The VP, Chief of Staff will plan and direct all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the organization's Chief Product Officer.

Role

Provides primary leadership support to the Chief Product Officer by providing thought leadership, and building strong business partnerships and trust with the P&I Executive Team and their leadership teams.

Drive successful end-to-end execution of management disciplines for CPO (business reviews with Global and Regional leads, Management Committee strategic planning meetings, etc.) and ensure all corporate commitments to the CEO and Board of Directors are met.

Coordinate the calendar and information flow for the P&I Organization and Leadership team in order to ensure information alignment and consistency among the cross-functional team.

Demonstrate deep knowledge and a significant understanding of the organization, business and markets to deliver crisp and succinct executive-level communications.

Tackle complex business problems with limited definition and uncover root causes, develop solutions and translate into specific recommendations for action

Manage through influence to ensure that communication of strategy, management decisions and requests are appropriately interpreted and acted upon

Coordinate and manage requests from Senior Leadership and work collaboratively with their offices to ensure efficient and optimized time utilization

Serves as the P&I representative on a variety of cross-functional committees and work streams pertaining to special projects that implications across multiple global product teams.

Strategic and project management capabilities coupled with strong analytic and financial acumen; highly organized and detail-oriented.

Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency.

Strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship-building skills, particularly with Executive Leaders and cross-functional partners

Strong communicator (written/verbal) with ability to translate information from across businesses and geographies to create clear and concise executive presentation materials.

Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down functional silos to optimize business results.

Self-starter €“ works independently and proactively identifies opportunities that promote the CPO office and P&I strategy; must be comfortable working with ambiguity.

Able to work through a large, complex matrix organization; demonstrates a flexible approach and resilience to setbacks.

Strong project planning and management experience; highly organized and detail-oriented.

MBA or equivalent degree and/or PMP Certified a plus
