Senior Vice President, Debit Product Management
The Global Debit Product Management team is focused on delivering compelling solutions that meet the current and emerging payment needs for both Issuers and Consumers. Specifically, this team is responsible ownership and market differentiation of Mastercards Debit products including the development and execution of the global product strategy, branding, market positioning, customer experience, operations and performance. The team also plays a critical role in sales enablement, both internally and externally. The team is also central to Mastercards cash displacement strategy across consumers, issuers and merchants.
The Senior Vice President, Debit Product Management within the Global Mastercard Debit Product Group focuses on:
Driving product line strategies across Debit Mastercard (DMC) and Maestro products
Creating and implementing a roadmap for asset integration with groups outside of Debit including Emerging Payments, Processing, Enterprise Security Solutions and Strategy Executing on the product roadmap for optimizing the existing Debit portfolio business
Optimizing the existing Debit portfolio business as we work to displace cash
The successful candidate will provide direction and partnership to each Regional Debit Product team to define and implement their short-term strategies and plans at the country level while ensuring alignment, synergies, and integration is achieved. This role will provide product guidance and thought leadership to Mastercards internal teams including Legal and Investor Relations as well as external facing audiences to elevate the external messages and impacts of our Debit products. This role will also manage a team of senior leaders across several geographies.
Drive overall product strategy for DMC and Maestro, inclusive of P&L performance around the Global and continuously drive and refine execution
Creation of Global Affluent Debit Strategy in alignment with regional product teams of the Global Debit Products short term (1-2 year) payment vision and roadmap, incorporating best practices to aid in development across regions
Lead, manage and develop global team to execute end-to-end product management of our products, partner with regional Debit leads and Divisional Presidents to execute the Debit strategy and vision
Establishing metrics for evaluating the performance of products in various markets/portfolios both within and across products and product lines
Monitor the competitive landscape- traditional, nontraditional and new technologies
Understand regulation impacting our business and operate with best practices from a global perspective to drive implementation
Managing product integrity (including product branding) in accordance with the intended consumer experience the product and value proposition will deliver and the basis upon which it will be differentiated from competitors
Conduct and oversee research and development agenda to leverage market insights, research and best practices to execute the global strategy regionally around the globe
Serve as thought leader representing MasterCard internally as well as externally with clients, speaking engagements and industry conferences
All About You
Bachelors degree in business or equivalent degree. Advanced degree strongly preferred
Extensive experience in product management and strategy & planning, with demonstrated experience developing segment and product solutions and strategies, background in financial services and / or bankcard industry preferred
Proven experience in managing multi-location, diverse, cross-functional teams
Solid understanding of competitive offering and industry trends
Ability to oversee multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
Superior communications, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with and ability to influence people across a matrix organization at all levels
