Senior Specialist, Product Development and Innovation, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions
Overview
The Cyber and Intelligence (C&I) team is responsible for product management and innovative product development of products and services to address the evolving risk and security needs of all of MasterCard’s various customer segments. The C&I team was established with the responsibility to safeguard all aspects of safety and security in payments and have made great strides with new products, services and standards, positively impacting all aspects of our current and future payment eco-system.
The Senior Specialist, Product Development and Innovation, will focus on product management activities for Stand-In Authorization and MIP Transaction Blocking, acting as the lead for comprehensive rule strategies that monitor and prevent fraud, as well as driving the global stand-in strategy. This role requires close collaboration with other C&I teams, as well as partnership from the Regions and Operations & Technology. The Senior Specialist will need to be innovative and a demonstrated self-starter.
Role
Act as a product owner and manage strategic initiatives for the Decision & Transaction Services business unit
Pro-actively develop rule strategies in partnership with various internal teams
Work closely with a cross-functional team to lead product development efforts, identify synergies, propose the most efficient solutions, and resolve issues in a timely and cost effective manner
Interface with technical developers to translate product requirements into technical specifications, ensuring mutual understanding and reducing time to market
Is knowledgeable on, or has the desire to learn, global fraud patterns and can develop solutions to combat
Advises Product team on customer feedback/concerns to aid in building solutions that meet customer needs
The ability to understand complex information and data, and come up with the most appropriate method of communication for intended party
Analyzes service trends and leverages usage statistics to further enhance comprehensive rule strategy
Gather statistics and provide reporting on strategy performance for management review
Track the success of functional initiatives and develops new methods and processes to improve efficiency

Demonstrated track record achieving business targets and building business relationships
Experience translating and applying customer feedback (internal, external) to lead product strategies
Experience setting direction for go-to-market plans and leveraging market insights to differentiate from competitors
Established business technical expertise in the development of integrated product solutions spanning multiple product categories
Proven project management, organization, and thought leadership skills with ability to build, lead, and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders
Ability to analyze complex issues and provide direction towards their resolution
Excellent organizational skills, project delivery and project management experience
Strong business acumen coupled with a customer focus and analytical skills
Superior oral and written communication, problem solving, product documentation, and product development skills
A problem-solving attitude and a willingness to tackle different challenges.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively within all layers of an organization
Demonstrated leadership in taking accountability and acting with a sense of urgency
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, establish priorities and work independently under pressure and with limited supervision
