The Priceless Platform is Mastercard’s B2B2C platform providing a range of experiences, benefits, and others for banks globally, who in turn provide these to their customers. The Role

We are looking for a passionate, highly proficient full stack Senior Software Engineer to work within the Priceless Platform Engineering team and help accelerate buildout of the next generation of the Priceless Platform. We are looking for someone who can bring innovative ideas to improving the developer velocity and developer experience. In this role, you will work on multiple projects critical to automating our build, product testing, and developing our CI/CD pipeline.

You are someone who works well in a cohesive team-oriented group of developers. You have a passion and ability for developing excellent test automation, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines, working in the public cloud and in regulated industries. This role can be based in the Mastercard San Francisco office, or anywhere in the United States.


• Hands-on software engineer involved in design, development, testing, deploying and documentation of test automation in multiple areas, such as integration testing, load testing, chaos testing.

• Responsible for code branching and building, as well as buildout and maintenance of our CI pipeline and CI tooling.

• Drive the adoption of key engineering best practices to improve quality and reliability of our software Work with other engineers on automating integration, load, performance, security, chaos tests.

• Drive continuous deployment techniques, including monitoring of golden signals and alerting

• Contribute ideas to ensure engineering standards are in place, and actively look for opportunities to enhance standards, and improve engineering efficiency.

• Python and Golang preferred.

• Expertise in architecture patterns and operational characteristic of highly available and scalable applications

• Experience participating & leading code reviews, refactoring, gathering code quality metrics

• Has skills to author test code with lots of smaller tests followed by few contract tests at service level and fewer journey tests at the integration level (Test Pyramid concept

• Apply tools (e.g., Sonar, Zally, Checkmarx ) and techniques to scan and measure code quality and anti-patterns as part of development activity

• Has skills to collaborate with team and business stakeholders to estimate requirements (e.g., story pointing) and prioritize based on business value

• Has skills to understand, report, and optimize delivery metrics to continuously improve upon them (e.g., velocity, throughput, lead time, defect leakage, burndown)

• Has skills to document and drive definition-of-done for requirements to meet both business and operational needs

• Understands how to build robust tests to minimize defect leakage by performing regression, performance, deployment verification, and release testing

• Has skills to conduct product demos and co-ordinate with product owners to drive product acceptance signoffs

• Has skills to Understands customer journeys and ensure a great customer experience by continuously reducing Mean time to mitigate (MTTM) for incidents and ensuring high availability (99.95% as a starting point)

• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: DevSecOps/CI-CD, Software testing, and knowledge of tools such as Sonar, Prometheus, Grafana, Git. Bitbucket, Jenkins, CloudFormation.

• Experience with software development productivity metrics (e.g., code churn, commit size, test coverage,) and help to continuously improve code velocity, quality, and release frequency

• Practitioner of automation/configuration management, deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, A/B testing, feature flags), and logging and monitoring practices for high availability.


• Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

NYC Salary Range: $134,400 - $207,600

Westchester County Salary Range: $128,800 - $198,950
