Manager - Sourcing and Supplier Management, Marketing/Product and Services
Regional Sourcing and Supplier Manager - Marketing / Products & Services will be responsible for handling Mastercards end to end sourcing and supplier operations within an assigned region for those categories that require regional support or specific localization efforts or are led by regional teams. Employees within this role should be able to improve sourcing activities by recognizing potential efficiencies in their regional processes, as well as analyzing Mastercards spend, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating opportunities within the region.
Leads / supports Marketing or Products & Services category management, sourcing and contracting processes based on the category collaboration models for assigned Level 1 categories and Level 2+ commodities Manages regional specific sourcing events, conducts negotiation and manages regional specific contracts Implements and optimizes negotiation strategies and secures profitable deals within specific region Manages supply portfolio within assigned regional to ensure consistent supplier performance and drives supplier development Researches and anticipates shifts in the negotiating power of supplier, and understands the appropriate times to involve business owners/supplier relationship owners
Estimates risks and applies risk minimizing techniques on an ongoing basis; be open to changes within sourcing processes as recommended by the business
Discovers and partners with trustworthy suppliers; consistently works towards the development of new supplier relationships, cultivating existing relationships
All About You:
experience in supporting and enabling category management and sourcing transformation efforts and strategic initiatives
experience in leading category management and strategic sourcing for assigned Level 1 categories and Level 2+ commodities experience in supplier lifecycle management and relationship management including supplier performance management and supplier development
demonstrated consistent success working with partners across other business units in support of cross-functional programs proven work experience acting as supplier manager for sizable regional and global supplier account prior category management and sourcing experience with the assigned Level 1 categories and Level 2+ commodities
strong project management skills
