Overview

Mastercard Global Small Business Segment is responsible with leading transformational change in how Mastercard drives value to issuers, acquirers, and other distribution partners in the small business ecosystem of Buy Operate & Sell, during a period of significant industry evolution and change. Our aim is to deliver solutions and services that meet the needs of our distribution partners and their small businesses to help them grow their business globally.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will bringing innovative thinking and thrive in a fluid but challenging fast paced environment.

We seek a talented individual who offers unique perspectives, who will lead against our partnership strategy with exposure to government, issuers, small business associations, and third parties as well as internal senior management. This position operates as a generalist supporting numerous aspects of our business, including strategic and analytical support, transforming how we deliver our solutions today through solution conceptualization, design and development and / or partnerships.

Role

Develop POV on issuers, acquirers and eco system stakeholder segment needs and gaps based on regions and verticals, market trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes that inform the enhancement / development and execution of solutions.

Develop a broad ecosystem of strategic partners from the regional and global fintech space, ERPs, Governments & Trade Associations that will lead to a vibrant network of support and opportunity for growing Mastercard revenue.

Proactively manage new partnership idea pipeline that anticipates and/or responds to small business eco system needs, market trends and competitive threats. Lead market research efforts to validate new concepts and business opportunities.

Engage in an interactive dialogue with small business eco system stakeholders (i.e. Trade Associations, ERPs, and Issuers) and internal stakeholders to identify needs. This includes meeting with prospective partners, evaluating opportunities, networking with industry leaders, researching references and customers.

Evaluate existing products, value propositions, or partnership opportunities to identify new ways to enhance and integrate existing assets for issuers, acquirers and new/existing eco system distribution partners.

Promote Mastercard through industry events, media channels, as the global Small Business brand of choice through innovative solutions and thought leadership for issuers, acquirers and other eco system players.

All About You

A seasoned professional, with global experience operating across developed and developing markets (essential). Also, you have successfully operated in a matrix organization structure and in a multi-cultural environment, with experience of working within a global or pan-regional organization.

You have strong, proven experience, and relationships in Fintech industry and other key eco system players which you are able to leverage for the identification and development of opportunities where new and innovative technologies align with Mastercard Small business strategy and market opportunities.

You have a proven track record and understanding of meeting distribution partner€™s needs to drive revenue through new services, segments, or categories.

You must demonstrate extensive subject matter expertise, be clear and articulate communicator to promote Mastercard thought leadership at industry events and internal meetings.

Experience in product development, project management, strategic analysis, partnership development and management

Ability to €œstory board€ and develop visually compelling presentations with clear logic and structure.

Ability to lead initiatives from start to finish, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Cross functional organizational relationship building ensuring establishment of an internal network to successfully execute against strategy.

Comfortable reporting to manager in another location

Self-starter / motivated to work independently and as an effective team member
