Director, Financial Planning & Analysis
Mastercard’s Operations and Technology (O&T) business unit operates the company’s global payments processing infrastructure and development. O&T uses its expertise to make payments safe, simple and smart.
The FP&A Department within O&T is responsible for financial planning, financial reporting and projects that support financial processes across O&T. The FP&A role provides an excellent platform for career development. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of divisions, processes, and functions.
The Director is responsible for supporting a broad spectrum of financial processes and initiatives including but not limited to the following:
•Consolidate and report monthly, quarterly & annual financial performance for O&T including monthly variances against forecast & budget, opportunities & risks and operational metrics
•Manage quarterly expense forecasts, aligning with the overall O&T Finance Team. Track and monitor O&T opportunities and risks
•Sharing best practices with other Business Units and Corporate Finance and partner to ensure overall FP&A processes are optimized
•Prepare financial presentations & analyses for the O&T Leadership Team and O&T CFO
•Support decision-making processes by providing forward-looking analysis and insights and reviews of primary expense drivers
•Provide recommendations to senior management to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
•Support planning process, including annual budget
•Leverage technology to improve efficiency and processes throughout the organization
•Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support business decisions
•Manage ad hoc projects as needed
All About You:
The ideal candidate would:
•Have a strong understanding of corporate FP&A processes and/or business partnership experience; accounting experience a plus.
•Have an understanding of the payments industry
•Have a strong working knowledge of Hyperion & Oracle
•Have experience working with or capacity to learn & implement new technology for driving efficiencies & enhanced data analytics (e.g., artificial intelligence, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
•Have strong data analytic capabilities using large data sets and driving conclusions
•Experience preparing executive level presentations
• Ability to perform successfully in a rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities and assignments concurrently under pressure
•MBA or CPA preferred
