Director, Expert Sales
The Account Management team focuses on the delivery of customized payment solutions and comprehensive consulting support, while leveraging Mastercards strong brand, technology, operations and risk platforms to deliver bottom line results to Mastercards Strategic Partners. This includes growing net new payment volume and selling value added services to Mastercard strategic partners, including Prepaid Issuers, program managers and value-chain partners.
Role - Enable Business Growth through Strategic Account Management:
Create and implement sales plan to include business development, marketing and product management activities with approximately 5-10 large customers; collaborate with internal Mastercard contacts to identify, win and support execution of new business opportunities with those customers. Specific focus on the following objectives:
- drive customer account strategies and deliver Mastercard profitability across prepaid, debit, credit and other business lines for your customers
- Create, identify, pursue and close Business Development opportunities to gain market share with customers
- Support project execution across all business functions, and assist in sale of Mastercard products and services to customers
- Lead and drive the Quarterly Business Review process (with larger customers) and Quarterly Webinars (with smaller customers) to include providing insights from analysis of customers business, training and resulting in actions to achieve one of the 3 objectives listed above.
Negotiate, execute and manage the customer contract agreement process and develop business cases and financial models required to support those agreements, ensuring US and global (where applicable) linkage of resources and information sharing.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships, working closely with a diverse and cross-functional team to achieve revenue targets and increase market share within a client.
Provide consultative industry insights and Mastercard insights based on analysis of customers business through modeling and forecasting and competitive analysis

Passion for B2B sales and working in a sales environment; track record of success managing customer relationships to drive results
Self-starter who is highly organized, collaborative and results driven
Sales skills: Consultative selling and ability to think strategically and solve problems for customers
Strong analytical skills: Knowledge of Mastercard financial and analytical systems and ability to coach others on same
Strong technical skills: Knowledge of analytical tools including Microsoft Excel and internal analysis tools, and ability to present analysis and ideas using Microsoft Office tools
Professional experience in financial services, cards, payments or related field, with understanding of prepaid and debit payments required
Ability to manage and grow internal and external cross functional relationships and partnerships
Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred.
