The Consumer Payment Applications team was created to establish Mastercard as the frontrunner in the fast-evolving real-time payments space, and to position MasterCard to be able to incubate the development of new payment flows.

The team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the technology that powers Mastercard’s next generation Consumer payment applications. Core to this proposition is the Global Bill payments program, operating as a startup within Mastercard. This position will be at the center of growing our global Bill payments technology platform and team.

Role:


• Responsible to develop and implement business requirement and new feature in mission critical payment system using Java technology.

• Responsible for the implementation of multi million pound national payment processing services in line with the agreed enterprise architecture and designs.

• Responsible for committing unite tested code in code repository and verifying end-to-end test results.

• Responsible for implementing code in accordance with defined quality and coding standards, agreed design and architecture.

• Responsible to develop business requirement and new feature using agile methodology.

• Delivery of any assigned tasks within specified timelines, to the expected quality.

• To understand and adhere to the company IT methodology SDLC. This includes proactively raising timely exceptions/risks/issues, driving a culture of continuous improvement to raise the quality of deliverables.

• To carry out any other task associated with the role as reasonably requested

• Skills (Core Java 8.0+, Spring boot, REST, Micro services)

• Agile CI/CD toolsets like JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence, Jenkins, etc.

• Relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server etc.)

• Financial messaging formats (ISO20022, ISO8583, STD18, etc.)

• Test-Driven Development (TDD)/Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)

• Application servers (Weblogic, Tomcat, Liferay Portal)

• Cloud computing (AWS and related products)

• EAI products (OSB, Camel, Mule)

• You will to be able to understand user stories and requirements, contribute to proposed solution designs, and translate these into coded features or solutions that are simple, functional, scalable, and maintainable.

• Problem solver and solution-seeking approach
