Senior Systems Platform Engineer (Linux/Unix)

Overview

• Responsible for designing, planning, configuration and execution of Mastercard internal processing devices running on HP hardware with Linux OS.

• Proactively manages the end-to-end delivery for Mastercard internal processing devices from purchase configure to deliver to Mastercard internal and external customers.

• Supporting Linux OS for 3600+ devices for internal and external customers of Mastercard.

• Configure Linux OS according to their customer connectivity requirements.

• Scripting knowledge for automating different processes aligned with the servers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, planning, configuration and execution of Mastercard internal processing devices running on HP hardware and Linux OS.

• Proactively manages the end-to-end delivery for Mastercard internal processing devices from purchase configure to deliver to Mastercard internal and external customers.

• Supporting 3600+ devices for internal and external customers of Mastercard.

• Configure Linux OS according to customer connectivity requirements.

• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot issues if any, for all the devices.

• Proactively validate that all the security products installed on the devices are running fine and have the latest version installed.

• Strong expertise on different flavours of Oracle Linux OS and HP server hardware.

• Help customer to troubleshooting connectivity to MIP from OS and configuration perspective.

• Onboard new application services for the customer on CIS project request.

• Part of the global L3 team responsible for support to system users relative to the Linux OS configuration.

• Responsible for managing MasterCard's devices, including requirements gathering, purchasing, distribution, configuration, and maintenance.

• Own projects and ensure the right information about the status of a project is delivered to the management.

• Have good working relationships with engineers, managers.

• Scripting knowledge for automating different processes aligned with the servers.
