Lead BizOps Engineer
Business Operations is leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard through our tooling and by being an advocate for change & standards throughout the development, quality, release, and product organizations. We need team members with an appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be done with automation. Experience in working across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and to build relationships is a must.
Mastercard looking for a BizOps SRE for our Business Intelligence and API Enablement program who would be responsible for supporting, deploying, configuring and maintaining API’s as well as supporting and maintaining Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and PowerBI. Another function would be for jobs and user query tuning/optimization support
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Leading strategic efforts for the Business Intelligence and API Enablement program as well as crossing over to the Data Science Services program.
Understanding machine learning and AI.
Mentoring junior Engineers.
Keeping track of all API’s that are deployed and ensuring monitoring of performance and failures.
Troubleshoot and fix the failure of any API calls
Work with Development team in case of critical incidents
Resolve the service ticket raised by the customer and maintain the good SLA
Good knowledge in debugging API’s, Business Intelligence queries and good understanding of Logs
Fix and troubleshoot reporting issues raised by the customers
Analyse SQL queries generated by the reports for erroneous results.
Work closely with service operation team for any incidents
Understanding the problems of the client and handling all escalated cases promptly
Should know shell scripting and Good hands on experience in Linux/Unix environment.
Excellent knowledge of UNIX/LINUX OS
Knowledge of tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
Good hold of shell scripting
Good knowledge of SQL primarily on Oracle.
Windows server administration would be a big plus.
Prior development experience with Python, Java and other software technologies is a plus.

• Understanding of the tools, methodologies and languages used to develop API’s and support/administration of Business Intelligence tools and serve them across various business units.
• Prior experience with API’s and Business Intelligence reporting tools
• Capable of understanding complex variables including Information and Data Governance, Data Management, Information Security, Privacy & Compliance to support high quality solutions in a matrix organization, solving hard problems while navigating through ecosystem tools technology being used.
• Ability to quickly adapt on latest trends, tools and skills in the software engineering space to better serve the platform.
