Lead BizOps Engineer

Overview:

Business Operations is leading the transformation at Mastercard through our tooling and by being an advocate for change & standards throughout the development, quality, release, and product organizations. We need team members with an appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be done with automation, support and monitoring for BI Tools. Experience in working across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and to build relationships is a must.

astercard looking for a BizOps SRE for our Business Intelligence and API Enablement program who would be responsible for supporting, deploying, configuring and maintaining API’s as well as supporting and maintaining Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, WebFocus, Alteryx and Power BI. Another function would be for jobs and user query tuning/optimization support along with monitoring support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Leading strategic efforts for the Business Intelligence and API Enablement program as well as crossing over to the Data Science Services program.

  • Supporting infrastructure needs for BI tools and Data Science

  • Analyze ITSM activities of the platform and provide feedback loop to development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns.

  • Work with Auditors for PCI related work.

  • Troubleshooting skills for issues in BI tools and DSS

  • Good knowledge in debugging API’s, Business Intelligence queries and good understanding of monitoring

  • Maintain proper monitoring as per standards for BI and API Enablement and Data Science Services Program.

  • Automating manual practices using Powershell/Shell scripting and CI/CD processes.

  • Mentoring junior Engineers.

Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of WINDOWS/Linux OS

  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk

  • Knowledge of IIS, Tomcat is added advantage.

  • Knowledge of BI tools like WebFocus, Tableau, Alteryx and Power BI

  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins is a plus

  • Understanding machine learning and AI

  • Prior experience with Python, Java and other software technologies is a plus.

All About You

• Understanding of the tools, methodologies and languages used to develop API’s and support/administration of Business Intelligence tools and serve them across various business units.

• Prior experience with API’s and Business Intelligence reporting tools

• Capable of understanding complex variables including Information and Data Governance, Data Management, Information Security, Privacy & Compliance to support high quality solutions in a matrix organization, solving hard problems while navigating through ecosystem tools technology being used.

• Ability to quickly adapt on latest trends, tools and skills in the software engineering space to better serve the platform.
