Manager, Software Testing & QA
Prepaid Management Services is the division of MasterCard that concentrates on Prepaid Solutions such as our Multi-Currency CashPassport product. Traditionally focused on the Travel Sector, this business unit is driving forward Prepaid throughout the world with innovative and leading solutions that we integrate with global brands.
This role is within the MasterCard Operations & Technologies (O&T) division. We provide high quality evolutionary and operational capabilities to support the MasterCard Prepaid Management Services business.
The Test Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Prepaid Management Services O&T.
With a strong capability in managing Software Engineers in Test (SETs), Test Engineers (TEs), and Performance Engineers in Test (PETs), the Test Manager will be responsible for the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of O&T testing procedures and strategies at MasterCard Prepaid Management Services.
Build, organise and maintain a team of test professionals with up to date skills and appropriate attitudes and motivation
Mentor test team members to develop excellent technical aptitude, as well as providing guidance to career path and identifying and coaching top talent
Work to continuously improve and automate the testing processes and overall quality of development deliverables
Guide and direct the teams on various automation and performance tools
Ensure that Prepaid Management Services O&T processes are followed by the teams
Develop an Agile culture and instill self-management in the test teams
Mentor and guide the test teams in the project ceremonies, e.g. sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demonstrations and retrospectives
Work with Portfolio Management Office /Technical Project Managers on workload planning and priorities for the teams
Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform testing
Ensure individual and team tasks are performed on time by communicating and working closely with teams
Retain a focus on completion, identifying, resolving and timely escalation of issues
Prepare and update the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project

Key Skills and Experience
Experience defining QA standards, processes, tools and methodologies
Previously successfully scoped automation and improvement efforts
Extensive test management experience in a modern test environment across global locations, functions and applications
Proven experience of a wide range of business and technology environments
Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence and successfully negotiate
Line management experience
Extremely good understanding and experience of Agile concepts
Demonstrated thought-leadership and organisational expertise
Experienced in relationship building across large scale organisations
Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Financial Services experience
Excellent problem solving skills
