Vice President, Innovation & Acquisition Product Development

Overview

The Enterprise Security Solutions (ESS) team is responsible for product management and innovative product development that address the evolving risk and security needs of all of MasterCard€™s various customer segments.

The Innovation and Acquisition Development team leads the development and creation of innovative global, scalable solutions.

The candidate for this position of Vice President, Product Development and Innovation will lead a team responsible for innovation management; strategic planning and assessment of new opportunities to define and create new products and test differentiated value propositions that meet stakeholder needs (eg, consumer, merchants, banks, governments, insurance and healthcare)

Role

Leads the ideation of global product strategy and launch innovative new product & service solutions

Evaluates and prioritizes global product ideas, markets and opportunities and determines projects to initiate the development process

Partners with global/regional teams to identify opportunities for products and inform internal stakeholders on new product offerings

Initiates and directs qualitative and quantitative market research to validate trends and competitive opportunities for developing new products

Develops and presents business cases for new product opportunities

Leads go-to-market process and interacts with technical developers to translate product requirements into technical specifications ensuring mutual understanding to minimize time to market and successful product launch

Demonstrates and executes thought leadership, product development expertise and strong project management skills in the integration of technology into new product and service solutions

Supervises a team, ensures compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal processes, coaches and develops employees as an organizational resource

Builds business models to improve MasterCard's footprint and competitiveness at a global and/or regional level

All About You

Demonstrated success in product management and product development:

Experience conducting product demonstrations and presenting compelling product propositions at external industry events for key stakeholders/audience

Demonstrated success building relationships and delivering results with external stakeholders as well as global, multi-cultural and remote project teams

Experience with facilitating and coordinating major product and strategic development initiatives for a global organization

Strong track record at synthesizing products and services from multiple functional areas into value propositions that align with regional or local customer needs

In-depth knowledge of payments industry, fraud management and exposure to healthcare or insurance lines of business

Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Demonstrated business acumen and ability to manage integrated product solutions spanning multiple channels/segments (i.e., issuer, acquirer, merchant, cardholder, insurance, healthcare, local, regional, global)

Proven expertise in building winning business cases, translating them into stories to gain approval, and delivering strong P&L results
