Sr. Consultant, Information Security Engineering

Overview

The Corporate Security Acquisition Security and Controls Validation teams have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant to be able to work on internal Mastercard security controls as well as merger and acquisition security controls. This dual reporting role will conduct control assessments and advisory support to improve the control environment ensuring the availability, integrity and confidentiality of the Mastercard network, systems and applications. The Information Security Engineering Senior Consultant will be responsible for:

Evaluating the current security technical and process controls to identify gaps within acquisition and internal installations

Re-engineering existing controls to eliminate future security control failures

Supporting the corporate and commercial integration of acquired companies to adhere to Corporate Security standards and transitioning them to business as usual

Role:

Evaluate compliance with legal, regulatory, operational and IT policies and procedures

Assess business and IT operating risks/controls and make recommendations for improvement

Consult with technical and management teams in determining action items required

Working with other teams within Corporate Security and other teams within the business

Assist Corporate Security with achieving security control compliance requirements

International travel in support of acquisition security diligence needs will be required at times

Education:

Master's degree with concentration in information technology/security/systems and equivalent work experience

CISSP and similarly relevant industry certifications

Knowledge/Experience:

Extensive knowledge of Information Security controls including experience developing control language and auditing

Flawless ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written), and cultivate solid working relationships across multiple organization levels

Significant experience with process improvements/automation, Six Sigma Green Belt with automation technologies preferred

Experience providing security consulting to SMEs and project consulting to achieve project deliverables

Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.), PowerShell scripting, and working knowledge of enterprise security systems.
