Providing Innovative, Secure, and Reliable Switching Solutions is the lifeblood of Mastercard Core Products, and we are currently seeking a passionate, collaborative, and experienced automation/test lead to join the Message Translation team.

About the Role:

-Own complex problems having dependency across services and facilitate cross-functional team interactions to drive resolution

-Work closely with software engineers to build quality by ensuring proper test and code coverage, configuration quality, monitoring, early performance testing

-Develop and implement QE standards, processes, tools and methodologies; partners with other functions to establish testing requirements

-Document test strategies and test plans; translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods

-Automate and simplify all aspects of testing (where applicable)

-Participate in requirements review and testing activities; monitors resolutions and creates/retains documentation

-Identify and implement complex automation efforts; replicates and resolves production issues

-Build relationships and effective partnerships across organizations

-Participate in technical interviews for hiring engineering staff and raising the performance bar

-Lead by example with hands-on approaches to demonstrate engineering excellence

-Mentors team members

All About You

-Has the ability to write secure code in Java and is familiar with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerabilities

-Possesses a strong knowledge of programming, tools, architecture patterns, and BDD

-Extensive experience in design, development, testing and implementation

-Understands internals of operating systems (Windows, Linux) to write interoperable and performant code

-Able to perform debugging and troubleshooting to analyze core, heap, thread dumps and remove coding errors

-Has skills to document and coach team on the development practices and coding guidelines (e.g., branching, peer reviews, library use, logging, scanning rules, test-driven development, error handling)

--Has skills to undertake a technical review of code across applications and their dependencies to look for anti-patterns and promote continuous refactoring

-Ensures Performance and Scalability for applications and platforms

-Has skills to simplify deployment and eliminate software snowflakes through standardization and automation

-Has skills to orchestrate release workflows and pipelines and apply standardized pipelines via APIs to achieve CI and CD using industry-standard tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, AWS/Azure pipelines, XL Release, others)

-Able to configure rules and build automation for code with vulnerability scanning and software composition analysis using standard tools (e.g., Sonar, Checkmarx, Nexus)

-Possess knowledge of ISO 8583 and ISO 20022

-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

-Experience overseeing the coding, testing, and review process for unit and integration testing

-Experience working in high test automation environments
