Senior Software Engineer (Test Automation)

Overview

The Network Services team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development and delivery of software solutions within an agile scrum team with a focus on test automation. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in test automation for Java applications, CI/CD pipelines, and basic devops principals.

Role

• Responsible for the analysis, definition, and implementation of automated test cases to test applications at the component level.

• Ability to write moderately complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, and alarms.

• Integrates automated test cases into product's CI/CD pipelines.

• Ensures quality across the full stack via rigorous CI/CD practices in all aspects of the SDLC.

• Engages with the development team, product management, and scrum masters to deliver secure solutions that delight our customers.

• Contributes to story estimation as part of an agile team.

• Participates in all agile scrum ceremonies.

• Adheres to team working agreements, best practices, and coding standards.

• Participates in code-reviews, test case reviews, code scanning, and other standard development practices to deliver high-quality artifacts to production.

• Participates in blameless postmortems culture to identify root causes of incidents and implement learnings

• Shares and seeks knowledge within their Guild/Program to drive reuse of patterns/libraries/practices and enhance productivity.

• Automates common repetitive tasks.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

All About You

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Experienced with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling such as Jenkins.

• Experienced with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, PyTest, or JBehave.

• Experienced with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.

• Strong understanding of Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, and test automation.

• Understands the testing pyramid.

• A continuous learner.
