Job Title

Senior Network Engineer

Overview:

This role is part of Network capacity planning function under Operations team within ONE organization. You will be responsible for developing reporting capabilities using SolarWinds and NetScout tools to monitor end to end Network infrastructure.

Role:

  • Develop Monitoring and Reporting capabilities for network capacity planning using SolarWinds and NetScout tools.

  • SolarWinds being new tool to the organization, explore capabilities within the tool, adopt and Integrate into Mastercard Environment

  • Monitor and Track resource utilization for Routers, Firewalls. switches, F5 etc., and generate advanced QOS report leveraging new capabilities from SolarWinds.

  • Manage Network Capacity Planning projects, includes capacity analysis, monitoring resource utilization, latency, and performance monitoring

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers for capacity forecasts.

  • Document requirements and formulate detailed recommendation for capacity and design upgrades of network and data center infrastructure.

  • Work closely with Delivery teams to analyze workloads onboarded on Mastercard Network making sure there is no impact to Mastercard Operations

  • Interface with testing teams, network designers, and application developers to understand and document the capabilities of the network and identify potential bottlenecks.

  • Responsible for creating/presenting analysis and recommendations to Senior management

All about you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience, network and security certifications (CCNA, CCNP etc.,) is a plus

  • Eight plus years of overall IT experience in the following areas: - Networking, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, Security and encryption technologies

  • Experience using tools such as NetScout to analyze network capacity and performance

  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

  • Strong Communications skills and Operations mindset, Operations and Command Center Experience interacting with internal and external customers will be helpful for this role
