All Mastercard Software Engineers must have the ability to write secure and high-performance code in at least one of the following languages: Java, C, C++, Go, or Perl.
Additionally, we are looking for varying levels of experience and knowledge in:
• Prior exposure to Spring, Microservices and/or REST Webservices
• Secure coding standards (e.g. OWASP, CWE, and/or SEI CERT)
• Understanding the basic principles of software architecture / event-driven architecture, automation, software development, cloud platforms, and/or testing
• People management, if seeking a leadership role at the Manager level and up
• Engineering principles used in building and running mission-critical software (i.e. security, customer experience, testing, and/or operability)
• Understanding how to prioritize and accurately estimate efforts required for new software builds
