Principal Data Architect

Position Overview:

-Leads software engineering projects and creates the development and delivery of enhanced software solutions.

  • Research alternative technical solutions for changing business needs.

  • Responsible for assuring the daily activities of the team meet the requirements of our agreements with our partners

  • Successfully lead major projects and complex assignments with broad scope and long-term business implications.

  • Create solutions with a high level of innovation, cost-effectiveness, high quality, and faster time to market.

  • Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify and scope the opportunities, outline potential value and ROI, identify risks, benefits, and constraints

  • Develop an overall strategic technical plan and create architecture proposals based on identified solution gaps

  • Contribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues within functional area of expertise

  • As recognized subject matter expert, lead planning, design, and implementation of technical solutions

  • Assist Management in Business Case Development and Scenario Planning, leading to an effective decision-making process

  • Assist in examining commercially available and forthcoming industry technologies related to the area of expertise. Research on current and upcoming technologies and application appropriate frameworks and provide recommendations to Management

  • Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency

  • Documentation templates, lead and enforce the development of documentation throughout the development lifecycle of the solution

All About You

  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture concepts, understanding of

high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and security

requirements in the cloud

---Messaging – MQ and Kaftka

  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, interface with external/internal resources and provide technical leadership to junior team members

  • Experience in working in Agile teams

  • Strong analytical skills are required for debugging production issues, providing root cause and implementing the mitigation plan

  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written - and strong relationship, collaboration skills, and organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • Expertise with multiple programming languages such as .NET, JAVA, and Python

  • Hands-on experience with Java/JEE and Unix / shell scripting

  • Detailed understanding of Data Lake concepts and implementation

  • Experience with Data management, Data Modeling, and Data mart

  • Experience in working on NiFi will be an added advantage

  • Experience in building data pipelines through Spark with Java/Scala on Hadoop or Object storage

  • Experience in working with Databases like Oracle, SQL Server and have strong SQL knowledge

  • Knowledge of cloud base technologies like AWS, Azure, and GCP will be an added advantage

  • Possess key concepts, principles, and best practices for .NET-based application development

  • Experience in working with data access APIs
