Job Description Summary

Job Title:

Lead Software Development Engineer in Test

Overview:

This position will be reporting into the Director of Software Development Engineering and responsible for driving best practices around Quality Engineering, functional and regression testing, end to end test automation, and adoption of development services (Development Collaboration, Continuous Integration and Delivery, etc.) amongst various delivery teams within Mastercard. Interacting with technology staff including Developers, DevOps Engineers, Product management, and Program management to identify scope of projects and engage in design, development, and test engineering activities. Develops/monitors quality gating through our Automation strategy for a given project looking at code coverage and API vs UI level functionality. Develops and maintains our Automation Test Suite while reporting out to relevant stakeholders.

Role

• Plan, design and develop technical solutions and alternatives to meet business requirements in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.

• This position will focus on driving quality by developing automated solutions to execute functional, non-functional, integration, and regression, testing for end to end journey testing across applications.

• This position will own quality functional areas and must be able to define test environment strategies.

• Drive adoption of development standards and Mastercard engineering principles early in the

life cycle.

• Contribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place.

• Research and evaluate current and upcoming technologies and frameworks.

• Position will design and implement automation test frameworks.

• Mentor and develop other team members.

All About You

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with hands on coding, technical and quality engineering skills.

• Excellent technical acumen, strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great

attention to detail, critical thinking, and solid communication.

• Strong experience in creating and analyzing functional tests for Web services and Web-based projects

• Strong experience in designing and implementing complex Automation Frameworks

• Strong experience in Automated Web UI Testing with Selenium.

• Strong experience in API testing with Rest-Assured or something similar.

• Strong experience in Database Testing

• Advanced knowledge and experience in Java.

• Sound knowledge of Jenkins, JUnit, GIT, Bitbucket, and Spring.

• Sound Knowledge of micro-services based Architecture.

• Expertise in agile delivery, software testing standards, methods and conventions.

• Exposure to application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk

desirable.

• Exposure to Mobile automation such as Appium desirable.
