Job Overview:

Primary responsibility for the formalization and capture of the decisions and direction of the broader architecture team into an appropriate set of blueprints, standards, roadmaps and other architectural artifacts for the edge processing capabilities of Mastercard€™s distributed payments network. Also plays a key role in preparing and delivering materials to provide updates, summaries, background, overviews, and other communications to stakeholders and management regarding the strategy and the roadmap. Contribute to the development of the technology strategy and roadmap. Provide analysis of the current state technology solutions. Provide thought leadership and participate in cross functional collaboration to design the future state. Help assess technologies and approach, develop solution concepts, proposals, and designs, and set direction.

Major Accountabilities:

-Assess available tools, repositories and collaboration platforms to determine the best options to capture, maintain and disseminate information about the strategy and the roadmap

-Provide overall leadership determine with the team information to be captured, formats, methodologies and processes to establish an evergreen process to create and maintain appropriate data and artifacts

-Through the tools and processes agreed, contribute to and coordinate the process for others to contribute to the data capture and publication of the appropriate architectural artifacts, strategy information and roadmaps

-Develop and promote the target architecture to support and enable business strategies


Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.

Knowledge / Experience:

-Experience in architecting and delivering high performance and highly secure distributed network applications

-Advanced knowledge of enterprise architecture modeling frameworks and repositories, typical artifacts and formats produced, and processes put in place to capture and maintain information.

-Knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies, especially cloud based micro service architecture

-Demonstrate MC Core Competencies.

-Broad technical experience across different hardware platforms, operating systems, programming languages, application architectures and associated development and operations tools.

-Domain experience in financial services, especially payments, a strong plus.

-Ability to be high-energy, strategic, self-directed, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.

-Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written €“ and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills.

-Ability to quickly learn and assess new technologies, frameworks and tools and support multiple concurrent activities and to interface with external / internal resources, working as a member of a matrix based diverse and geographically
