Engineer, Biz Ops
The PTS - Central BizOps team is looking for a Global Release Manager who can help us mange and execute flawless releases and lead Mastercard in BizOps best practices.

Business Operations is leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard through our tooling and by being an advocate for change & standards throughout the development, quality, release, and product organizations. We need team members with an appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be done with automation. Experience in working across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and to build relationships is a must.
Protect and manage the movement of release code through development, test, and production environments.
Hold teams accountable for release and environmental milestones and tollgates. Engage and escalate to senior management when necessary.
Identify risks and proactively work with teams to mitigate them.
Create and own the Release Calendar for each year, identifying major environmental milestones.
Facilitate cross-department coordination of release meetings, such as MTF Readiness, Project Reviews, and Production Readiness.
Work with QA and Development Teams on a daily basis; establish and build on those relationships.
Document any release related issues, work with teams to identify root cause, ensure teams have made any necessary updates to process or procedure gaps, and lead a release retrospective meeting with the QA and Development teams.
Lead the war room activities after a release. Be able to quickly identify the application team(s) needed, to optimize mean time to recover, thus reducing customer impact.
Assist with executive level release reporting, including content, metrics, and trends.
Gather and interpret analytic data for trends; create reports for senior management
Maintain ownership of the Consolidated Implementation Plan for releases; ensuring the steps remain accurate
Identify gaps and improvements to our global processes.

Have a systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and a sense of ownership and drive.
Strong willed individual who is able to comfortably and confidently question and/or push back when there is a risk to our Platform.
We support many different stakeholders. Experience in dealing with difficult situations and making decisions with a sense of urgency is needed.
Knowledge of Mastercards Processing Platform and application dependencies is a plus.
College Degree preferred; or equivalent work experience
