Job Title

Director, Regional Program Management and Advisory Boards

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, M&A and On-Soil Deployment & Regional Management, the Director will be a part of the O&T transformation initiative and have a direct impact on driving greater value for the company. The Director will have primary responsibility to manage and execute Regional Technology Advisory Boards and will also drive specialized data-driven business analyses and strategic initiatives.

The role is important for evolving Mastercard’s existing global Tech Advisory Board into the regions. The Mastercard Technology Advisory Boards serve to provide Mastercard, its customers and payment industry leaders a forum where ideas, concerns and suggestions regarding technology associated with the payments industry and Mastercard’s products or services can be shared and discussed; and to have input into technology planning and development. The objective of the Advisory Boards is to ensure ongoing communication regarding technology in the payments industry by providing specific opportunities for customers and industry leaders to identify needs as well as provide advice and recommendations on technology matters to senior Mastercard decision makers. This is both a strategic and hands-on position requiring intensive experience in interpreting internal strategic agendas, technology trends within the industry, event planning and executive presence/communication skills.

Role

• Analyze and consolidate key regional data and updates for executive communication with markets leadership, and coordinate of any centralized regional activities

• Strategist and analyst of technology trends and operational data of the regions to optimize technology investments

• Strong integration with Customer Engagement Team to leverage Global Tech Advisory Board content and agenda as necessary within Regions

• Drive Regional content as appropriate through interaction with the O&T Regional Leads (who will, turn represent the input of Regional Presidents)

• Develop content for pre-read, presentation and meeting recap as appropriate

• Drive meetings/subcommittee meetings that need to occur between Board meetings with internal and external audiences

• Work cross-functionally to align and mobilize stakeholders around Regional charter/purpose/funding

The Candidate

• Extensive experience developing business analyses and strategy with a strong ability to work cross-functionally as well as understand varied regional needs

• Expert related experience in management consulting (Strategy & operations), executive dialog, meeting planning, hospitality and high touch engagements

• Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and problem-solve

• Ability to work across functions in the organization/globally to drive action that is meaningful for board members and agenda in conjunction with Mastercard Strong business acumen and project management expertise with a successful track record of implementing customer experience and advancing strategic topics in the technology space.

• Exceptional leadership, influencing, and communications skills with ability to diplomatically interact with all levels

• Confident and comfortable when working with executives, senior level management, external partners and external customers

• Excellent communicator, including written, verbal and presentation skills
