Director, Bill Pay Product Development

Overview

As Mastercard executes on its multi-rail payment strategy to grow share beyond cards and capture account-to-account volumes, Bill Pay represents an application that is truly rail-agnostic and seeks to deliver a smooth, intuitive consumer and customer experience in everyday habitual payments.

As the Director, Bill Pay Product Development, you will be responsible for enhancing our suite of Remote Payment and Presentment (RPPS) Bill Pay product capabilities and finding synergies across our home-grown and acquired assets. You will be a member of the Global Product Development team, designing features for RPPS Bill Pay and ensuring our solutions and product enhancements meet the needs of current and future customers.

This role leads the design and development of the RPPS Bill Pay product, working in close partnership with cross-functional teams – platform, technology, delivery, commercialization, regions/markets, legal, and franchise – to deliver a market-leading Bill Pay proposition.

Role

• Define product requirements and make product design decisions jointly with platform and technology teams.

• Work with regions and markets to understand market and customer needs, which will inform product features and roadmap

• Manage product lifecycle including product design, creation of business and functional requirements, documentation, training, project management, and on-going product development

• Ensure product readiness of our solutions by providing input to commercialization, franchise, legal, delivery, regional/market, and other cross-functional partners

• Participate in go-to-market efforts with internal and external partners for pilot and commercial rollout opportunities

• Develop industry expertise and knowledge across the bill payment value chain

All about You

• Experience in working North America market, preferably with digital channels such as bill pay, payments, mobile, e-commerce

• Advanced experience in new product development within Agile framework, including documenting high level product requirements (epics/features)

• Advanced managerial and interpersonal skills; ability to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others, garner support and lead without direct authority.

• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and delivering results through strong cross-functional partnerships

• Ability to serve as the bridge between business and technical teams to build consensus with critical stakeholders

• Comfort with ambiguity; ability to base product strategy and decisions on sound assumptions and judgement

• Ability to work with diverse cultures and organizations towards collective goals and objectives

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Customer facing experience preferred
