Consultant, Business Analysis €“ Settlement Strategy-2

Overview

The Corporate Treasury team at Mastercard is offering an exciting opportunity for high performing candidates. We are hiring for a Consultant position in our Settlement Strategy team, with the position based in St. Louis, Mo. A successful candidate would have subsequent opportunities to gain exposure to other areas within the Treasury or the broader Mastercard team.

The Mastercard Treasury Organization is critical to the functioning and delivery of Mastercard core and new products, comprised of the following functions:

Settlement: enabling settlement of cleared and authorized transactions between issuers and acquirers

Foreign Exchange: Ensuring availability of currencies to enable cross-border transaction settlement and providing FX know how for product development

Customer Risk: Managing the risk associated with the Mastercard guarantee of issuing and acquiring settlement obligations

In addition, the Treasury organization manages insurance, enterprise risk, capital planning, investments, pensions and other treasury functions.

The Consultant position will encompass the following:

Serve as a Product Manager and business analyst within the Settlement team.

Support the design and implementation of new products within Settlement.

Manage project tasks, perform project analysis, prepare and deliver training and provide guidance and direction to our technology partners.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role include:

Lead the analysis and design of product requirements, and implementation support initiatives as a business Product Manager within Mastercard Treasury department.

Participate within an agile technology development environment providing product definition, business knowledge, and prioritization to insure project objectives, milestones, and deliverables are completed in a timely manner.

Contribute to a cross functional Portfolio Management function, liaising with senior management across several business units.

Act as the liaison between the business and technology in systems implementations and upgrades

Perform in-depth analysis to evaluate financial, operational, customer and system impacts and needs; present strategic recommendations to executive management

Experience / All about You:

Ideal candidate will be proficient in or possess the following:

Global Payments industry background

Payment systems product management experience with a record of success in managing multiple projects

Product owner experience with implementation and maintenance of external systems or proprietary technology

Excellent leadership qualities, including getting work done through others, being organizationally savvy, thought leadership and influencing skills

Proficient in Agile and SAFE methodologies

Experience in managing external system vendors

Self-motivated and inquisitive, able to manage sensitive information, and to communicate and make decisions under pressure

Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with emphasis on building strong, longer-term relationships across varying geographies and functions

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, IT or equivalent work experience. Master€™s degree a plus.
