Overview

The VP, Product Management will be the product owner for a new, high-visibility initiative to drive greater transparency, control, and insights across multiple Mastercard technology platforms and data domains. With the program Engineering lead, this person will help to define, build, and launch a new internal solution. The program touches multiple functional areas and will require building a strong understanding of across a wide scope of Mastercard systems, teams, and processes.

The Role

This person will:

• Oversee product evolution, establish meaningful release schedule, optimize products and resources, implement incremental improvements within the product’s life cycle, conduct ongoing care and maintenance, and manage team resources in coordination with the Engineering lead

• Lead the product development of this program and leverage cross-functional teams (within the direct org and horizontally) to drive product strategy

• Act as an expert, advocate and champion for designated products to a set of cross-functional stakeholders

• Act as a business owner and manage long-term and short-term deliverables

• Lead adoption and change management, and oversee the development of training and other supporting materials

• Lead roll-out activities, approach and establish and track key performance indicators for products, setting objectives in partnership with executive stakeholders

• Identify, evaluate and prioritize business cases for long term product and build business models to support additional scope/phases

• Supervise team to ensure compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal processes, coach and develop employees as an organizational resource

• Lead the development/expansion of differentiated products to meet the current and emerging needs

This person will partner with the Engineering team leader to:

• Develop a solution framework and architecture

• Identify and understand relevant stakeholders, user personas and data consumers

• Define and determine execution approach that includes a governance framework, reporting / alerts, coordination and accountability, and communications plan

• Deliver a solution that ensures Operational, People, Financial and Customer insights can be viewed, analyzed and managed along key dimensions

All about you

• Results-proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience and judgment

• Experience translating and applying user feedback

• Experience setting direction for internal platform launches or go-to-market plans and leveraging user or market insights

• Experience initiating and managing investigations of product/business risks and concerns

• Highly developed presentation, facilitation, and communication skills (both verbal and written)

• Politically savvy collaborator and consensus builder with experience working on high-visibility projects

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering or equivalent work or education-related experience preferred
