Overview:

The Mastercard Connect team is looking for a Senior Back-end Software Development Engineer to create the next generation of great user experiences for Mastercard’s primary customer-facing website.

MasterCard software engineering teams leverage Agile development principles, advanced development and design practices, and an obsession over security, reliability, and performance to deliver solutions that delight our customers. Role:

• An individual contributor who writes high quality, secure code that is modular, functional and testable.

• Designs and develops applications, system to system interfaces and complete software solutions

• Creates documentation such as user guides and software development guides

• Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment.

• Code development, code review, troubleshootng and day-to-day support duties

• Provide technical guidance to junior team members

All About You:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Advanced experience with Java/J2EE technologies like Spring boot framework, REST APIs, JSON

• Advanced Micro services architecture working experience

• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures and core computer science concepts.

• Evidence of working with object-oriented development and design patterns.

• Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Git and versioning

• Experience working with large teams in an Agile environment

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills
