Manager, Product Development - Mastercard Foundry

Overview

Mastercard Foundry is the innovation engine of Mastercard and a hub for new product development. Within the Foundry, the Commercial, SME, and Strategic Growth Portfolio team leverages the Foundry’s skills and capabilities to support Mastercard’s Commercial, SME, and ESG Product teams in developing and delivering world-class solutions. The Manager, Product Development role will be a key part of the Portfolio team, and will support the identification, capture, and delivery of new opportunities for products and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Supports New Product Development for SME, Commercial, and ESG products for Foundry, including identifying new opportunity spaces

Works with the Global Products teams to create Product strategy and to design, develop and deliver new Products that drive incremental revenues for Mastercard

• Collaborates with the Commercial and SME product teams, acting as a trusted partner for all innovation and product development needs

• Identifies and recommends new payments products, services, and capabilities in partnership with internal and external stakeholders at a global and regional level

• Uses a data-driven approach to assess market opportunities and to build business cases incorporating accurate representations of future revenues and expense bases

• Leverages the Studio Framework to rapidly Frame ideas, and develop Concepts and Prototypes to validate whether a market opportunity can be effectively monetized by Mastercard, and coordinate across Foundry to deliver successful Market Tests

• Navigate across cultures and geographies and leverages strong relationships with key groups across Mastercard to gain support and buy-in for key decisions

Experiences

  • Related work experience in product development, preferably in financial services or tech

  • Ability to apply product development concepts and practices across the product development life cycle

• Experience in overseeing the rapid prototyping process for global/critical products

• Demonstrated ability to act as subject matter expert and product champion by presenting compelling product propositions to senior key stakeholders (e.g., potential and current investors) at demonstrations and external industry events

Demonstrated success building relationships and delivering results with global, multi-cultural and remote project teams

Education: • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience
