Director, Product Management, Digital Consumer Solutions – North America

Overview

The North America Digital Consumer Solutions team at Mastercard is responsible for enabling the best consumer experience, with security, convenience, and control in mind, everywhere and in every way consumers choose to pay across a growing number of use cases. Mastercard’s implementation of Secure Remote Commerce, built on the latest industry standards, powers Mastercard’s proprietary, best-in-class consumer checkout solutions such as Click to Pay, Secure Card on File and Installments. The Director of Product Management is responsible for the commercial success of these products in the North America market. Initially, this role will be responsible for building out a comprehensive consumer enrollment strategy, as well as successfully execute on that strategy in market, in partnership with our issuing and acceptance partners and internal stakeholders.

Role

We are looking for someone with a proven track-record of leading, developing, managing and/or commercializing best-in-class products and services, preferably within the financial services/financial technology sector, with a strong product sense and executive presence. Key responsibilities will include:

• Define and develop a comprehensive consumer enrollment strategy for Mastercard Checkout Services solutions, including Click to Pay.

• Partner closely with our partners, including both issuers and merchants, to develop a deep understanding of the evolving payments landscape and customer pain points to inform the direction of Mastercard’s digital product strategy.

• Lead high-level solutioning efforts for new ecommerce checkout products, partnering closely with Product & Engineering to build best-in-class payment card provisioning features in market.

• Lead cross-functional team consisting of stakeholders from Global Product, Technology, Legal and Account Management, among others, to appropriately support new product construct implementations with high complexity and visibility.

• Collect, validate, and prioritize business requirements for customer development asks.

• Advocate for our large, strategic customers internally by broadcasting their needs and pain points and ensuring our customers voice influences product roadmaps

• Create executive-level presentations and strategy documents and materials to be used to perform investment decisioning and prioritization, as well as build consensus on the direction of Mastercard’s products and services

All About You:

• 7-10 years of professional experience, preferably in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

• Sound business judgment with established strategic/conceptual thinking and strategic planning skills.

• Excellent presentation skills, both drafting and presenting, with strong executive presence.

• Experience owning go-to-market planning and delivering results that create customer and business value

• Experience commercializing products in the financial services, financial technology, or consumer space

• Proven ability to define a product roadmap and gain buy-in from stakeholders, both internal and external, at all levels

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to drive business priorities and decisions

• Capable of working under pressure, navigating complex initiatives, competing priorities, customer requirements and frequent change

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
