Director, Merchant Value Proposition India
MasterCard Loyalty Solutions has over the last few years acquired capabilities to serve merchants via Truaxis and Pinpoint in the US and Asia India Pacific respectively. In India, MasterCard Loyalty Solutions provides market leading loyalty solutions to several financial and non-financial institutions.
We are looking for a highly experienced Merchant Value Proposition Lead with experience in having provided similar services to merchants in the area of loyalty services, digital marketing and for data analytics.
The incumbent must have a Pan India/Multi-category perspective, with deep understanding of merchants pain points with an ability to think strategically and draw out the road map for creating a best in class merchant value proposition for MasterCard in India.
The person must have experience in working in some merchant verticals from the following: retail (including grocery), luxury retail, pharmacy, everyday spending categories (e.g. coffee shops, gas stations), and T&E (entertainment, restaurants, and travel industry)
The incumbent must embrace consultative selling, as well as technology and have a track record of leading solution enhancement, technology and product innovation. The incumbent must have experience in working in a matrix environment, and be strategically oriented with the ability to oversee execution
Develop the strategic road-map for enhancement of our program management and platform capabilities in India to serve merchants via an innovative and highly differentiated suite of solutions to help them attract new customers, cross sell to existing customers and win back attired customers at a very high return on marketing investment
Liaise with the Loyalty Solutions divisional leads and country teams to roll up local sales and market intelligence into a divisional/market view of program and product development needs, to ensure Loyalty Solutions new program management solutions and product development is prioritized based on actual merchant needs and market trends
Identify and evaluate revenue drivers for the segment to develop a 3 year P&L plan. Will collaborate with divisions to identify short term opportunities to maximize growth P&L potential
Leads go-to-market planning and budget to capitalize on revenue opportunities and develop business cases technology and headcount investments in the region
Execute against the program management and platform enhancement road-map laid out.
Evangelizes the growth strategy and aligns/partner with the Loyalty Solutions divisional leads, Advisors, and Business Development Leads to educate them on Loyalty Solutions capabilities to enable retailers to grow their business profitably
Supports evaluation of third-party acquisition and partnership in as potential implementation strategies
Leverages marketing messages, thought leadership, and pricing/packaging levers in development of new value propositions
All about You
P&L management experience at a large merchant or at a digital marketing company that relies on big data and digital publication for marketing programs, and ideally with experience in developing go-to-market strategies by working with technology, content, service and product teams
Self-motivated, thrives in a fast paced environment; readiness to take-on stretch goals
Experience in ensuring collaboration in a matrix environment to drive innovation and execution
Travel internationally required
Strong customer relationship management, influencing and communication skills
