Job Title

Director, Cyber & Intelligence Segment Lead


Mastercard Cyber & Intelligence Solutions, Global Segment Leads (GSLs) isolate and address existing and emerging digital, financial, cyber and systemic risks, challenges, and development roadmaps for their assigned industry vertical(s). As part of a team rooted in transformational change, GSLs immerse themselves in their respective segment(s), developing and leveraging both internal and external relationships to uncover respective trends, quantify regional or global market opportunities, and match current Mastercard solutions, partner solutions, and/or industry innovations, both regionally and globally.

GSLs will engage with market leaders and clients, providing the critical voice of the market/customer required to develop, prove, and integrate scalable solutions to help our clients tackle evolving risk vectors, as an enabler to future growth and mutual success.


Practice Building:

  • Provide in-depth segment knowledge through thought leadership, insights, trends, and challenges. Emerge as the segment go-to person and trusted advisor for C&I executives and go-to-market personnel.

  • Aggregate findings across segment clients and channel partners to regularly inform stakeholders on segment evolution

  • Continuously review market landscape, identifying commercial opportunities across clients and partners that positions Mastercard as a global market leader.

  • Invest in professional development opportunities and industry forums

  • Anticipate needs of stakeholders, develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes trends.

Customer Focus:

  • Build trust with teams and stakeholders (account teams, regional leads, product leads, and clients) to establish and maintain business relationships through conversations, in-person customer engagements, and industry forums. Foster open and honest conversation.

  • Penetrate current and new segment partnerships, building relationships, creating opportunities, and driving executive engagement

  • Identify and drive use cases to expand and diversify revenue concentration

  • Build and maintain best practices and knowledge base of competition.

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of customer’s business and industry segment.

  • Reinforce customer-centric culture to drive transformation


  • Develop an innovative framework for advancing C&I solutions to global and regional clients and prospects, for assigned segment, focusing on the payments and cyber landscape and resulting economics.

  • Develop and execute practice plan to achieve success metrics, supporting growth targets, while driving cultural change.

  • Promotes Mastercard C&I strategy, goals, and mission to internal and external audiences, and aligning segment strategy with both the clients and internal organization objectives (i.e. Account Team, Global Product, Marketing, Event Management)

Delivery Excellence:

  • Deliver or participate in QBRs, seeking continuous improvement plans to advance relationships, revenue, and justify investments.

  • Create a problem-solving climate across teams through cross-regional collaboration and partnerships to ensure sustained partnerships.

  • Navigate the complexities of global teams and engagements.

Background in consulting and/or domain experience in identity, fraud or cyber preferred.

NYC Salary Range: £73,000 - £124,000

Westchester County Salary Range: £73,000 - £124,000

Remote New York Salary Range: £73,000 - £124,000
