Sr. Specialist, Data Partnerships

Overview:

The Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (C&I) team is responsible for product management and innovative product development of products and services to address the evolving risk & cyber security needs of all of MasterCard’s various customer segments. The C&I team was established with the responsibility to safeguard all aspects of safety and security in payments and have made great strides with new products, services and standards, positively impacting all aspects of our current and future payment eco-system.

Ekata, a Mastercard company, is the global standard in identity verification, providing businesses worldwide the ability to link any digital transaction to the human behind it. Our Ekata Identity Engine, the first and only of its kind, uses complex machine learning to combine features derived from the billions of transactions within our proprietary network and the data from our graph to deliver industry leading risk assessment solutions.

The Sr. Associate, Data Partnerships is focused in two areas:

1) onboarding new data partners through prospecting, testing, and contract negotiations, and

2) managing and growing relationships with existing partners.

The Data Strategy team has ambitious organizational goals and high visibility, both internally and externally. This role requires strong relationship development, project management, and problem solving skills for success.

In this role, you will:

  • Become a subject matter expert in the regional, technical, and legal nuances regarding the use of identity data for fraud prevention

  • Act as the account manager for existing data partnerships, including running day-to-day operations and exploring expanded business opportunities

  • Negotiate contracts for new data partnerships and renew existing contracts that present the most favorable terms possible for all parties

  • Identify and engage companies in strategic regions to become data partners

  • Coordinate data evaluations and ingestions in partnership with analytics teams and make purchase recommendations based on the results

  • Collaborate with analysts to ensure up-to-date records and contracts are maintained in the appropriate systems and all documents are correctly archived

  • Own regular, predictable communications with partners, analytics teams, and market-facing teams

  • Navigate ambiguous situations by fostering productive and positive working relationships with the relevant stakeholders

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Data Analytics, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Privacy, and Finance (at both Mastercard and Ekata) to execute the roadmap and comply with company standards and government regulations

  • Communicate Ekata’s goals with clarity and accuracy to external and internal stakeholders

All About You:

  • Experience in account management, business development, program management, product management, or a related role, preferably at a technology company

  • Strong project management abilities when working with cross-functional teams on complex, long-term projects

  • Ability to own multiple projects simultaneously and proactively identify and mitigate risks

  • Experience working with business partner decision-makers both in day-to-day business operations and commercial negotiations

  • Ability to translate data and analytics into pragmatic business decisions

  • Ability to learn technical concepts quickly coupled with a desire to deeply understand and serve Ekata’s customers, partners, and industry

  • Experience leading negotiations and projects with internal and external stakeholders, especially in ambiguous and high-risk situations

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical

  • Familiarity with relevant data legislation, like GDPR, preferred

  • Ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally preferred

Westchester County Salary Range: $113,000 - $175,000
