Job Title

Manager, Business Development

Overview

The B2B regional manager position is dedicated to identifying and evolving opportunities for MasterCard's products and services into the B2B segment, by developing and / or partnering with leading market and segment players.

Role

• Grows revenue by identifying and pursuing opportunities with new or existing customers/markets

• Focuses on growing market share, market acceptance, the number of customer touch points, and MasterCard’s regional footprint

• Sets sales strategy aligned with geography and segment strategy

• Responsible for pipeline management at the segment level

All About You

• Bachelor's Degree Required, MBA preferred

• Fluent in Spanish and English, Portuguese desirable

• Experience working in a multi-national company a must, strong experience in business development, front line management & sales, track record achieving business development targets and building business relationships through customer sales is very desirable, experience with business development strategy and execution in complex and international countries/regions

• "Can do" and positive attitude to effect change, open and creative mindset; comfortable with uncertainty, changing and fast paced environment, in-depth knowledge of payments processing

• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, product management, project management, product development and technology application skills are critical

• Ability to work effectively in a matrix-managed environment

• Expertise in creating business case / product P&L

• Ability to grasp the complex technical requirements needed to lead the development of new products and solutions, Has the ability to scan widely across internal business operations and external markets and competitors to identify business opportunities, drive change driven by changing end-user needs and new technology by fostering enthusiasm and a sense of purpose. Recognizes and inspires innovation and thought leadership as a necessity to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. Has the ability to lead integrated innovation within a business and develop solutions that meets the needs of stakeholders in new and different ways. Ability to generate stakeholder interest, through deep understanding of their current and latent needs and devising solutions that deliver on that better than competitors.
