Overview

The D&S Global Product Management team - Location Insights - is looking for a Product Manager to drive product strategy and execute on product roadmap by consistently innovating and collaboarting with multi functional teams worldwide. The individual will act as a business owner and manages long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for a commercialized product. The individual will oversee product evolution, establish go-to-market strategy, optimize products and resources, implement incremental improvements within the product’s life cycle, conduct ongoing care and maintenance, and manage P&L. The ideal candidate is passionate about managing products, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

  1. Helps develop strategic business plans for Product, including rigorous analysis of revenue opportunities and related costs

  2. Works closely with global teams, regional leadership and sales colleagues to understand MasterCard, issuer, acquirer, merchant, and consumer needs and issues

  3. Monitors product performance metrics at all stages of the product life cycle, and makes recommendations regarding solutions to challenges in the portfolio or product strategy

  4. Analyzes market trends, dynamics, and competition in order to inform product and go-to-market strategies

  5. Provides support to sales and customer facing teams with communication and training on product functionality and enhancements Other Areas

  6. Engages in idea generation for enhancements to existing products, concept validation, business case development, and in some instances financial modeling and planning of these enhancements

  7. Develops planning & reporting tools to support development of product enhancements

Role:

In the global product management role you will:

The ideal candidate for this position should:

  1. Look at everything through the eyes of the customer and see their need for an easy and profitable life

  2. Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders

  3. Have hxperience contributing data-driven product adjustment recommendations that were shared for implementation to senior leaders

  4. Have extensive experience working on product launches in multiple markets

  5. Have experience independently developing and managing budgets for multiple MasterCard projects and products

  6. Always look for potential solutions to solve problems
