Vice President, Product Management - Technical

The Consumer Payment Applications Technology team was created to establish Mastercard as the frontrunner in the fast-evolving real-time payments space, and to position MasterCard to be able to incubate the development of new payment flows.

The team is responsible for designing, building and operating the technology that powers Mastercard’s next generation Consumer payment applications.

The team participates along with its products partners in evaluating new market opportunities, M&A targets & new strategic investment & partnership opportunities

The Role:

Structure a team able to incubate innovation in new payment flows while continuing to meet committed deliverables.

Foster collaboration across functions to embed real-time payments into MasterCard’s DNA by expanding digital acceptance while integrating with existing products and solutions.

Communicate the Consumer Application program health to executive stakeholders.

Drive & Implement process improvements across the Consumer applications technology organization.

Responsible for planning, execution, and delivery, from inception to completion for ACH technology products and impacted programs.

Proactively ensure smooth delivery of production ready, operationally sound technology.

Uncover technical constraints, dependencies & risks and work with technical stake holders to mitigate.

Define and organize the technology program, outline tenets, program scope, governance model and influence resource allocation for all stages of execution.

Focus on the customer experience, the build and delivery processes and the problems to be solved

Deep understanding of the business and technical requirements for the solutions being built. Identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with customers and technology teams to influence project prioritization.

Influence dependent organization's roadmaps by contributing to their planning documents and goal setting exercises.

Drive mindful discussion with business and technical stakeholders that lead to timely decisions

Make smart trade-off decisions balancing effort, delivery timelines, features, and technical constraints

Identify technical interdependencies and remove blockers in challenging situations

Help your teams organize for delivery while maintaining resources for the greater good of the organization.

About you:

Excellent communicator and are comfortable communicating to all levels of the organization both in writing and in person

Articulate progress against goals, scorecard metrics, and committed roadmaps

Active participant in the community sharing your Mastercard program management knowledge within your organization and more broadly presenting at both internal and external events

Able to work across organizations for ways to align teams, technologies (i.e. the infrastructure used to build/deploy/operate services), and organizations to simple coherent approaches that optimize organizational structures and operating mechanisms

In-depth understanding of SDLC, Infrastructure, Operational readiness, PME, Program management
