Sales Support Analyst

In the UK&I, our Merchant team partners work merchants across many industries and aid their growth & to improve their profitability.

• Through our Cyber & Intelligence product set we deliver innovative solutions to help businesses better protect themselves & drive operational effectiveness

• Through our Data & Services product set we enable business to make more informed, data led decisions, and to have deeper relationships with their customers which are richer & more valuable

• Through our New Payments Platforms & Core product solutions we deliver fast, safe & secure payments solutions which deliver a better consumer experience & streamlined processes.

Sales engagements with merchants are a team effort. Bespoke interaction with the largest businesses in the country requires an array of skills such as analytics, desk research, content preparation, product knowledge, presentation, influencing & negotiation. Beyond this, a layered approach is required for tier 2 or tier 3 type prospects, and here you may be required to play a more individual role rather than being part of a team – tailoring the interaction to the size & type of audience is important.

As such, we are seeking an individual to be part of the team playing a role in the shared goal, also to be an individual contributor for a certain audience, or to help deliver content to assist third party sales channels to drive adoption of Mastercard products & services.

This role is key to achieving our mission of driving additional revenue directly from the merchant sector and offers the scope to take ownership of a segment within a sector. Supporting your immediate group & colleagues across the Merchant team will be important, as will consistently reinforcing the MC value story to merchants.

To achieve this, you’ll need to manage key stakeholders across Mastercard & ensure consistent access to all sales resources, you will use content of all formats to deliver compelling pitches individually & as part of a team. You’ll interact with key SMEs, and expert sales teams to align on strategies & shared goals and share that knowledge within our team.

Main activities

• Individual merchant sales interaction

• Supporting team on engagements with large merchants

• Supporting team to enable third party’s to engage with merchants on MC products & services

• Manage the end-to-end sales process as appropriate

• Create, prepare & deliver sales materials & manage follow up activities as required
