Job Title

R-66122 Director, Business Development Europe MPMS

Prospect identification and sales cycle development €“ ensuring there€™s an 18 month

commercial plan for your vertical in partnership with all Divisions across Europe plus the

MCDS and merchant development teams

Prospect tracking with internal stakeholders; defining addressable opportunities and

prioritization across the year including working with product around the proposition

development and execution

Initial proposal development including RFP€™s €“ all steps from managing the internal deal

formulation and approval through to customer presentation

Develop and execute account plans for each customer and a strategic business plan across the area of responsibility

Day-to-day issue resolution and account management activities across the existing postal services and self-issuers

Develop optimization plans to grow existing customers beyond usual organic growth levels

Ensure comprehensive customer marketing plan is in place to drive portfolio performance (usage and acquisition)

Implement engagement governance and cadence for quarterly reviews and monthly meetings to track and manage the account

Facilitate an annual planning sessions incorporating regular competitor analysis and data analysis to optimize opportunities and performance

Manage all contractual renewal and extension negotiations

The candidate would have

Significant business development experience across Europe; strong demonstrated ability to initiate, pursue, negotiate and close complex sales and deals

Strong bias for outcome and action €“ act with agility

Extensive experience in managing formal RFP€™s €“ ability to structure the content and VAS€™s to differentiate beyond just price

Numerate with a track record of P&L management and of consistently growing sales/revenues

Robust experience of working within a highly matrix orgnanisation; ability to partner, manage and influence internal stakeholders across various businesses

Good knowledge of the payments industry, with demonstrated expertise in developing partnerships with a diverse set of industry stakeholders

Creativity to be able to identify non-traditional opportunities, and growing share and/or penetration within an existing customer relationship

Able to bring together sales, product, marketing and operations to develop the business

Requirements

Good strategic vision, thought leadership and ability to turn complex strategies into practical and execution oriented plans

Outstanding written, oral and presentation communication skills

Strong team player and collaborator, committed to breaking down silos

Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar from a leading institution and MBA ideal
