Product Manager (Next Generation Real-Time Payments)
As part of the Mastercard New Payment Platforms team, the role will be primarily responsible for the product development, delivery and management of the Next Generation Real-Time Payments Service.
The Next Gen Real-Time Platform will underpin our International Instant Payment Service offering and has been designed with a highly performant and flexible architecture to lower barriers to entry, stimulate innovation and competition, increase financial inclusion and protect against increasing financial crime.
Conceptualise solutions to meet market needs. Scope the market to understand market segmentation and the resulting scale of potential demand
Helps develop strategic business plans for Product, including rigorous analysis of revenue opportunities and related costs
Maintain the business plan for the products, documenting planned revenues, costs and risk-based contingencies, and presenting a clear internal cost structure to the business
Analyzes market trends, dynamics, and competition in order to inform product and go-to-market strategies
Provides support to sales and customer facing teams with communication and training on product functionality and planned enhancements
Engages in idea generation for enhancements to the Next Gen platforms, concept validation, business case development, and in some instances financial modeling and planning of these enhancements
Act as an accountable executive on project and programme boards
Ensure effective engagement with business partners across the Mastercard NPP org. e.g. Sales, Solutions Delivery, Service management, legal & regulatory, risk, finance
JOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCES
Experience contributing data-driven product adjustment recommendations that were accepted for implementation by senior leaders
Experience working on product launches in multiple markets
Experience independently developing and managing budgets for projects and products
Managed elements of a cross-functional project within own locale
Demonstrated success building relationships and delivering results with global, multi-cultural and remote project teams
Extensive interaction with external stakeholders at the local level through participation in client meetings and consumer events
Developed an understanding of the business and how the organization earns profit/creates value, acquired through both formal and informal trainings and projects
Coordinated cross-functional initiatives, such as professional development opportunities, idea-creation programs, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) opportunities
Product Strategy Planning: Applies understanding of product strategy, tactical plans, and the organization’s goals n to facilitate a product’s success in the market.
Go-to-Market Planning: Applies understanding of stakeholder priorities when executing go-to-market plans and makes adjustments to better fit customer needs.
Product Commercial Readiness: Applies knowledge of the commercialization process for multiple products to independently evaluate plans and raises issue to management.
Product Quality/Operational Performance: Leverages reports from quality and performance testing to adapt product functionality and enhance product delivery/maintenance to meet internal standards and stakeholders’ expectations.
Audience-Focused Writing: Understands nuanced writing and messaging characteristics that may impact a campaign’s ability to reach a target audience.
Business operations: Routinely draws upon valuable learning from others and past experiences to identify key opportunities, lead projects, and provide effective solutions.
Drive for results: Drives the achievement of objectives by setting ‘stretch’ goals for others and continually seeks opportunities to exceed results by leveraging internal relationships.
