Principal, Security Architect

Overview

As a Principal Security Architect at Mastercard, your responsibilities include architectural leadership, service design, and support of security offerings and/or service delivery platforms. As a subject matter expert, you will provide technical leadership and design guidance across the enterprise, ensure currency and effectiveness of existing services, define the architectural strategy for related services. You will help ensure our solutions and platforms are innovative, architecturally sound, secure, and marketable.

The role requires the ability to influence and collaborate across a diverse group of internal stakeholders at various levels, effectively managing multiple priorities and demands, and a deep understanding of networking and cloud technologies & concepts.

Role

Provide security architecture and secure development leadership and support for the enterprise.

Act as the architectural and design subject matter expert for new technologies and existing infrastructure.

Build and sustain good working relationships with internal stakeholders and involve them in the overall strategy.

Participate in defining secure designs and deployments, as well as secure configuration practices.

Use appropriate technology solutions, controls, and practices as needed.

Conduct research to identify new attack vectors facing applications and Mastercard.

Serve as a core team member of the Security Design team as an implementor to solve gaps.

Develop technical security requirements for the business and see those through the development lifecycle.

Collaborate with business contacts to ensure 3rd party cloud applications stay in sync with our standards, controls, policies, and principles.

Provide diligent security consulting including design reviews and recommendations for various IT projects and initiatives.

Partner with software engineering teams to advise on code and architecture for internal asset integrations, including node software, wallet systems, and key management frameworks.

Perform security assessments and threat modeling of assets, including various blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and other distributed ledger tech.

All About You

Sophisticated level knowledge of security technologies including Authentication, Authorization, Access Controls, Data Protection, Cloud Security, Mobile Application Security, OWASP

Expertise in data center security, cloud connectivity, network security and deep experience in large scale private enterprises.

Extensive experience with a multi-business unit organization (preference to global organization)

Extensive experience with designing enterprise security architecture.

Large scale implementation and security design experience with Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS service offerings, API Security as well as client, server, and network-based security architectures

Experience with multiple security domains including some hands on-experience or technical leadership in areas such as reviewing application code for security vulnerabilities, working with vulnerability management tools, conducting threat modeling, etc.

Experience with an agile SDLC, DevSecOps, and where Enterprise Architecture will interface, touch, and provide value.

Experience as a technical lead on complex assignments that contain multiple threads.

Experience working with and presenting to executive management.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
